Moustaches.

Crazy, ridiculous, hipster moustaches.

I know this trend isn't 100% new, but hot dang. This thing is spreading like wildfire. I swear everyone and their dog suddenly has a moustache. This is trend no longer reserved for the hipster-elite.

Bow ties also tend to be a popular accessory with these 'staches.

trend alert: foxtail keychains

Interesting...

Noticing this trend around the city... Foxtails worn in your back pocket or clipped to your purse. Men and women alike.

What do you think?
Will you be sporting this trend?

trying it on: Trend Alert

In a challenge (or gentle suggestion?) by Lauren from the little things we do... I was asked to wear the trend described in this post

She lives in Portland, and said that the tights-under-shorts look didn't seem very practical (or maybe a better word is "accepted") to wear there. Which it probably isn't. That is one plus that LA has... You can kind of get away with wearing whatever the heck you want*.

So what do you think? And try not to be mean, because I pretty much love this outfit :]

*I mean that in a dressing up kind of way... in Salem, you could get away with wearing pajamas and nappy sweats, and that is not so norm here...

Trend Alert

This one is two-fold.

#1 - Cuffed shorts

#2 - Black tights under them with tennies or ankle boots.

{ Umm... these photos involve an embarrassing but funny story... This was at Disneyland on my husband's birthday. And I--being the dork that I am--got really excited when I saw these girls waiting in line to get into the park. I was whispering to Matt about how I wanted to blog about these girls' outfits and how they were so Harajuku. So Matt tells me to just take a picture. I am a wimp, and (rightly so) feel like a creepy stalker. But I gave in, all for the sake of blogging. Ha! I also kept seeing them again throughout the day and kept trying to get a better shot. And no--they never noticed, and I hope they never stumble upon this here humble blog! }

Trend Alert

I am seeing these everywhere in LA. Slashed black leggings-- paired with a long top or mini skirt.

Honestly, this look is a little too high school for me personally, but since this blog is dedicated to fashion, I couldn't keep this one to myself. I have talked to a few friends in Oregon about these leggings, and they haven't seen them yet. So it's true, LA really is first! Just watch :]

the skinny suit

Can I please say how much I love this trend? And how it seems to be sticking around for more than just a fleeting season?

Skinny suits. Skinny ties. I heart you.

Yeah, I know that is Zac Efron. Don't judge me. I like his suit.

chocolate cars

I truly never thought I'd see the day. I should never say such a thing, but it's true. Sometimes even the ugliest trends make their way back into our hearts.

I've noticed brand new brown cars everywhere lately. Here are a few:

Clockwise, from top left: Audi, Ferrari, Mini Cooper, Volvo S60, concept car

I have to admit, I am oddly intriguied by this color of car. I can't say I'd buy one, but I can't say that I hate it, either.

So here is the real reason why I thought it would never come back. The 1987 Ford Aerostar van I grew up being dropped off to school in:

Cut me some slack, alright?

Peacocking

I am more than a little obsessed with feather hairpieces right now. I have yet to snag one... I am waiting for the perfect one. I can't decide what I like best.

In the meantime, here are a few that make me drool.
